There is an excellent article in todays Guardian by Stuart Jeffries in which he quotes various writers and commentators on what they think is happening to our concept of work. It is interesting of course to us to see ‘portfolio careers’ as an example of what workers are now interested in exploring and also to see the importance of identifying one’s ‘motivated skills’ to enable a more fulfilling work life. This was Bernard Haldane’s concept and we have a whole chapter in our book devoted to this topic.

Barry, I really enjoyed reading Stuart's article. Yes, there is a reoccurring theme running throughout history. "Do what you love and the money will follow" kind of theme.
Keep up the good work you and Katie are doing across the pond!
