I have just finished listening to Derek Sivers’ latest book “Anything You Want” and at just over 1.5 hrs, its a really great listen. He talks about how he set up a independent music site called CD Baby and sold it in 2008 for $22m. But its not really about the money – more about his personal philosophy on life. He has put the money into a charitable fund that pays him 5% every year. He says he doesnt need a lot to be happy – that he has ENOUGH. I really like this concept in a world where so many are grasping the greasy pole each day but don’t know why. He also reviews books on his site sivers.org and this one Personal MBA sounds interesting especially for those of us who live the portfolio life.
